Lara Torr
Co-Founder, Renew Adelaide
Lara Torr is a founding member of Renew Adelaide, a visual artist and arts worker. She currently works as Program Coordinator for Vitalstatitsix- an independent theatre company based in Port Adelaide.
Lara has extensive arts administration and project management experience spanning festivals, grants management, community projects, visual arts, urban renewal and the arts and disability sector.
Lara has a particular interest in helping small-scale community projects connect with large-scale support. Her ability to find a balance between bureaucracy and human experience was recognised when she was presented with the Computer Says Yes Award for innovation in the South Australian public sector in 2011.
Just for something different, Lara directs a sad-song choir called Choral Grief and works as a freelance audio describer.
